Cloud Osprey publishes practical, source-checked guides for the people who run Microsoft cloud platforms: Microsoft 365 and SharePoint admins, identity and security teams, Power Platform owners, Azure engineers and the IT leaders who have to make decisions about all of it.
What we cover
- Microsoft 365: SharePoint, Teams, retirements, pricing and admin changes.
- Identity & Security: Microsoft Entra, Conditional Access, passkeys and Purview.
- Copilot & AI: Microsoft 365 Copilot, agents, Microsoft Foundry and AI governance.
- Business Apps: Power Platform, Power BI and Dataverse.
- Azure & DevOps: governance, networking, monitoring, resilience and Azure DevOps.
- IT Leadership: licensing, cost, rollout planning and operating models.
Who’s behind Cloud Osprey
Cloud Osprey is written by a hands-on Microsoft practitioner who works day to day with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure. The site grew out of SP Monkey, the SharePoint and Microsoft 365 blog the same author has run since 2016, covering everything from on-premises SharePoint farms to SharePoint Online migrations, Power Platform and Copilot.
Cloud Osprey is the next step: a broader focus on the whole Microsoft cloud, and on the decisions IT leaders make about it, written with the same rule as before. If a fix, setting or runbook is published here, it’s because it holds up in a real tenant.
How we write
- Sourced: every article links to the Microsoft Learn pages, product announcements or documentation it relies on.
- Practical: we focus on checklists, runbooks and decisions admins actually face, not feature marketing.
- Reviewed: articles show a “Last reviewed” date, and we update them when Microsoft changes the product or timeline.
- Corrected openly: when a reader spots an error, we fix it and note the change in the article.
- Independent: Cloud Osprey isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, and ads never influence what we write. Product names are trademarks of their owners.
